Upon the birth of my second child, I remained discouraged by the then present options in baby bedding and accessories. Everything appeared too cutesy or displayed cartoons from floor to ceiling. I wondered why there weren't more baby bedding lines that offered parents the decorating option of something a little more fun, trendy, and age versatile for their tiny tot's bedroom.

And thus the light-bulb went on...

Lima Bean Baby originated with custom-bedding projects that I designed and sewed for friends, family, and my own children's bedrooms. With others' warm reception to the products, I pondered the potential of going into business full-time.
